Ralph “Butch” E. Rouscher, Jr. (74) of York, PA passed into eternal rest peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Monday, July 6, 2026. He was the son of the late Ralph E. Rouscher, Sr. and the late Mary (Baublitz) Rouscher and the husband of the late Connie L. (Green) Rouscher.
Ralph attended William Penn Senior High School. After high school he enlisted in the US Marine Corps. at the age of 16. He served in the Marines for 2 years before being discharged due to unknown circumstances. Ralph began his career in 1971 with American Chain and Cable (ACCO) as a millwright. He retired in 2007 after 36 years of employment. Ralph and Connie married in 1971, they started their family shortly thereafter with their two children, Tammy and Troy. Ralph’s highest priority in life was his family, he was always present at every function that involved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ralph was an avid golfer, he enjoyed painting, genealogy research and spending time with his family.
Ralph will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his wonderful sense of humor, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. Strong-willed and sometimes stubborn, he faced life with determination and always stood by what he believed. He was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing and caring for his family. Ralph opened his home and his heart to others, welcoming neighborhood children, nieces, and nephews as if they were his own. He genuinely cared about people and was willing to lend a helping hand whenever family, friends, or neighbors were in need. Above all, Ralph showed his love through his actions every day. He was deeply devoted to his family, always looking out for their safety, well-being, and happiness. His generosity, compassion, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ralph was preceded in death by both of his parents Ralph and Mary, his loving wife Connie, sisters Naomi Jacobs and Anya (Lynn) Parks and a brother Allen Rouscher. He is survived by his two children Tammy L. Reachard and her husband Gary A. of York, Troy A. Rouscher and his wife Danielle L. of St. Augustine, FL, three grandchildren, Danielle N. Renard and her husband Paul W. of Manchester, PA, Calvin A. Reachard of York, PA and Madison D. Rouscher of St. Augustine, FL, and two great-grandchildren Shirley Q. Renard and Paul W. Renard V, his brother Michael Rouscher, as well as, many loving nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
An open-house style Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 11, 2026, from 10am-12pm at Church of the Open Door, 8 Carlisle Ct. York, PA 17408. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is honored to serve the family.
