YORK- Polly Anna Villarica Boiser, 54, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a year-long battle with cholangiocarcinoma in the early hours of Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at her residence. She was the wife of Ronald V. Boiser to whom she was married 31 years.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. followed by a celebration of life tribute service from 12 p.m.- 2p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Amy Favorito officiating.
Born on March 16, 1970 in Davao City, Philippines, she was a daughter of Anita Cervantes of Babak, Samal Island, Philippines and the late Dr. Napoleon Villarica. Polly had been a registered nurse at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, MD since August of 2002. She was a clinical leader at work for 19 years in the Geriatric Respiratory Care Unit which became the COVID unit during its peak. She was a dedicated worker who was a mentor and was always the go to person for her coworkers.
Polly attended Saint Patrick Catholic Church in York and was a member of Job’s Daughters International. Most importantly, she was a devoted wife and loving mother.
Along with her husband, Ronald, Polly is survived by her son, Paul Boiser and his girlfriend, Leah Collins of York; daughter, Pauline Boiser and her husband, Federico Busacca of Baltimore; soon to be grandmother to Pauline’s daughter, due in July and Paul’s son, due in October; five older brothers; one younger sister; and her beloved dog, Penelope.
