Phyllis N. (Brillhart) Wertz

YORK – Phyllis N. (Brillhart) Wertz, 92, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2022 at Celebration Villa. She was the loving wife of the late Luther L. Wertz, Jr. to whom she was married for 69 years.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave., York with Reverend Margaret Stevens officiating.

Born June 21, 1930 in York, Mrs. Wertz was a daughter of the late Beatrice Brillhart. Mrs. Wertz was a graduate of York High School, Class of 1948. Mrs. Wertz was an honorary member of the 82nd Airborne Association, and loved participating in all the activities at Celebration Villa.

Mrs. Wertz leaves behind a son, Edward T. and wife Donna Wertz of Danielsville, PA; a daughter LuAnn S. Wertz of Danville, PA; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Payne. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wertz is preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Wertz; and a sister, Judy Wilkinson.
