YORK- Phyllis M. (Dehoff) Eyster, 83, died on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at her residence. She was the wife of Martin L. Eyster to whom she was married for 51 years.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A funeral cortege will meet at the entrance of the cemetery at 9:45 a.m. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.
Born on January 24, 1940 in Dallastown, she was a daughter of the late Emory C. and Melba M. (Keeny) Dehoff. Phyllis worked at York International Corporation for 39 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Eyster enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to Potter County. She had a love for flowers, specifically wildflowers and enjoyed the fall leaves.
Along with her husband, Martin, Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Joyce Elledge and her husband, Mike of Brooksville, FL; step son, Gerald Eyster of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Jason Eyster and his wife, Erin and Mindy Tracy and her husband, Eric; four great grandchildren, Landen Eyster, Maddie Eyster, Rowan Tracy and Tanner Tracy; brother, Galen Dehoff and his wife, Bernadine; three sisters, Judy Guise, Karen Renn and her husband, Charles and Pattie Miller and her husband, Kiehl; and sister in law, Janice Dehoff. She was preceded in death by her sister, Cathy Strine; and brother, Sherwood Dehoff.
