Philip E. Smith

YORK – Philip E. Smith, 61, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at his residence.

Born November 30, 1962 in York, he was a son of Josephine M. (Spahr) Smith of York and the late Leroy M. Smith, Sr. For most of his working life, Mr. Smith served our country in the United States Air Force where he later retired in 2001. After his retirement, he worked at Norfolk Southern Railroad for approximately 20 years. In his free time, Philip enjoyed building model trains and airplanes.

In addition to his mother, Josephine, he is survived by three siblings, Leroy M. Smith, Jr., Roxanne F. Smith, and James A. Smith. He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy M. Smith, Sr.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., York, is assisting the family with arrangements.
