Paulette E. Poe

DOVER—Paulette E. (Stambaugh) Poe, 81, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025 at UMPC – Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Garry L. Poe to whom she was married for 59 years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be Mahlon Hege. A viewing will be held from 9:00 – 10:00AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Salem Union Cemetery – Dover.

Born March 25, 1944 in York, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert D. and Louise (Bruggerman) Stambaugh.

She was the co-owner of Garry Poe & Sons Farm and the rock of the business that kept things running smoothly. In addition, she also helped manage their furniture store – Budget Furniture in York.

A member of the local Moose Lodge, she was also a member of the former Strinestown United Brethren Church.

Mrs. Poe is survived by two sons, Blaine Poe and his wife, Pamela of Dover and Brian Poe and his wife, Tasha of Wellsville; six grandchildren, Emily Poe, Katlyn Poe, Samantha Poe, Cory Poe, Kyle “Andrew” Poe and Cameron Swengel and five great grandchildren, Charlotte, Madelyn, Winter, Bennett and Harper.
