Paul "Buck" Lightner

YOE – Paul W. “Buck” Lightner, 67, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at York Hospital. He was the fiancé of Mary B. Reed with whom he shared the past six years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Reigles Bible Fellowship, 158 Reigles Church Rd., Millersburg, PA 17061. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM Thursday at the Church. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.

Born September 14, 1956 in Marysville, Perry Co., a son of Robert C. and wife Daisy Lightner of Marysville and the late Leona N. (Potter) Lightner, he was a 1974 graduate of Susquenita High School. Paul was a skilled carpenter and retired from Greater Pennsylvania Carpenter’s Union. He was a member of NRA and Halifax Archery Club. Buck was an avid Sprint Car and late model racing fan, enjoyed watching NASCAR, and loved to hunt, fish, gardening, and loved our dachshund, Gunner, who sadly passed just two weeks ago.

In addition to his fiancé, Paul is survived by a son, Shawn Lightner of New Jersey; Mary’s sons, Josh R. Reed of Mechanicsburg and Bobby D. Reed of Flagstaff, AZ; a sister, Sue Rupley of Marysville; and two stepsisters, Crystal Fleisher of Oxford, PA and Angela Sipe of Carlisle.
