Paul A. Strausbaugh

YORK -Paul A. Strausbaugh, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. He was the loving husband of the late Joan D. (Davis) Strausbaugh to whom he was married to for 58 years. A graveside memorial service will be held 9:00 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2009 at Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Avenue., York with his nephew, the Rev. Thomas R. Osenbach officiating. A funeral cortege will form at the entrance to the cemetery at 8:45 a.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Strausbaugh was born June 29, 1930 in Hanover, PA, a son of the late Joseph A. and Pauline (Fisher) Strausbaugh. He was a former employee of New York Wire. Mr. Strausbaugh is survived by two daughters, Sharon L. Smith and husband, Gordon of Florissant, CO, and Linda S. Wehler and husband, Scott of Tampa, FL; a son, Paul J. Strausbaugh and wife, Ronda of Yuma, AZ; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren;nine great grandchildren; four brothers, James, John, Raymond and Joseph Strausbaugh; and a sister Ruth Searle. He was preceded in death by a sister Catherine Ogle. Mr. Strausbaugh will be remembered by those close to him as a loving and caring father, grandfather, and brother who always put his family first.
