Patricia L. (Snyder) Schaale

Patricia L. (Snyder) Schaale, 84, of Dover, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026 at UPMC Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Paul M. Schaale, Sr. to whom she was married for nearly 58 years before his passing in 2018.

Mrs. Schaale was born on May 30, 1942 in York, a daughter of the late Clifford and Hazel (Markel) Snyder. Patricia was a dedicated homemaker, who enjoyed diamond art, gardening, Yahtzee, bingo, and anything to do with crafts. She also loved cooking, making sure her four children had home cooked meals every day; she was especially known for her famous peanut brittle. Patricia loved spending time with her family, including all of her grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by two daughters, Joann E. and husband Scott Spahr, of York, and Dawn L. Lohss and husband Brad Berger, of Dover; two sons, Paul M. Schaale, Jr., of York, and Steven M. Schaale, of Florida; eight grandchildren, Christopher Schaale, Lindsey Schaale, Brandon Lohss, Eric Spahr, Aaron Spahr, Kendra Sprenkle, Tyler Schaale, and Leah Brenton; and two great grandchildren, Paislee and Layla. Patricia is preceded in death by four brothers, Bob, Clifford, Sunny, and Bill Snyder; and two sisters, Rose Schultz and Shirley Hamberger.

Memorial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., is honored to serve the family.
