Norman E. Fry

YORK - Norman E. "Buck" Fry, 87, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Yorkview Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was the loving husband of the late Diane M. (Coppersmith) Fry to whom he was married for over 30 years.

Born December 27, 1938 in York, Buck was a son of the late Herbert F. and Effie M. (Lightner) Fry. After High School Buck went on to serve our country in the United States Marine Corps from 1956-1958. After his time of service, he worked as a machine operator for various printing companies. In his free time, Buck enjoyed spending time in his garden, working on his lawn, or watching the Orioles.

Buck leaves behind a daughter, Jodi McLane and her husband Donald; a stepson, Andrew Krepps and his wife Heather; a stepdaughter, Valerie Conway and her husband Sean; 15 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one on the way; three sisters, Barbara Jean Bowman, Mary Wise, and Frances Hoffmaster; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Buck is preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Zakaria, and a granddaughter, Jessica McLane.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Road in York is honored to serve the family.
