Norman C. Woodruff

MONTOURSVILLE-Norman C. Woodruff, of Montoursville, entered the presence of our Lord on Nov. 19, 2011. Born in Buffalo, NY, Nov. 25, 1926, he was a son of the late Archie and Ida May (Saunders) Woodruff. Norman grew up in St. Davids, Ontario, Canada. Norman graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He also served in the Canadian Army. Norman worked as an accountant with Bro Dart, PA, Allen Industries, NJ, and General Motors, NY. He was an avid ice hockey and opera fan and also loved reading about history. He was preceded in death by a sister, Roxie Slaby. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 45 years, Janet Johnson Woodruff; son, Paul Woodruff; daughter, Donna Zeitzeff and husband, Paul; brother, Paul Davidson and wife, Pearl; and sisters, Pat Krohn and Imogene Costas. Funeral services are entrusted to Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., Williamsport. A service for Norman will be held Sat., Nov. 26, at 6pm from the funeral home at 331 Elmira Street, Williamsport In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Community Baptist Church Building Fund or General John Burrows Historical Society.
