Nicolina R. (Coronia) Zalenski

YORK- Nicolina R. (Coronia) Zalenski, 71, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Rest Haven. She was the loving wife of Leon A. Zalenski. The couple had wed on October 26, 1957. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with Fr. Michael Letteer officiating. A viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Mrs. Zalenski was born on November 1, 1938 in L.I.C., NY, a daughter of the later Salvatore and Marie (Leaper) Coronia. Nicolina worked as a Bank Teller for Jamaica Savings Bank for 43 years until her retirement in 2000. Along with her husband, Leon, Mrs. Zalenski is survived by one son, Robert L. Zalenski of Tucson, AZ.; five grandchildren; one grandson; one brother, Jack Leaper of Sarasota, FL; and one sister, Susan Marinelli of Newington, CT.
