YORK- Nancy E. (Klingensmith) Steffy, 88, died on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late James B. Steffy. The couple had been married for 45 years until his passing.
Services for Mrs. Steffy are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.
Born on January 27, 1937 in Brookville, Pa, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Jane (Bergstresser) Klingensmith. Nancy was a self-employed artist and homemaker. She worked in art mediums such as ceramics, drawing and painting. She has a Masters Degree in Art from Bloomsburg University.
Nancy was a very talented potter and artist and her work was exhibited in multiple locations. She made story books for her grandchildren which they all remember fondly. In addition she was an avid reader and enjoyed her walks in the woods.
Mrs. Steffy is survived by two sons, Michael Boltz and his wife, Karen of South Carolina and Jeffrey Boltz and his wife, Peggy of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania; two step sons, Jim Steffy, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of South Carolina and John Steffy and his wife, Barbara of North Carolina; step daughter, Sue Steffy of Florida; eight grandchildren, Nick Boltz, Max Boltz, Katie Boltz, Lauren Boltz, Matthew Boltz, Merideth Boltz, Fred Steffy, Erin Steffy and; three great grandchildren, Sebastian and Benjamin and Violet; and four siblings, Peggy Roberts, Jane Fazano, Robert Klingensmith and Eleanor Klingensmith. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Klingensmith.
