Nancy L. (Shellenberger) Gentzler

York—Nancy L. (Shellenberger) Gentzler, 89, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Rest Haven-York. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Gentzler. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with Joe Reggin of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in York, officiating. A viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born August 9, 1920 in York, she was a daughter of the late Earl C. and Ruth N. (Miller) Shellenberger. Among the things she loved were her pets, playing bingo, knitting and crocheting. She formerly attended Eastminster Presbyterian Church in York. She owned and operated Curly Top Beauty Shop on Princess Street in York as a hairdresser. After retiring, she continued her 28 year career working from home. Mrs. Gentzler is survived by a nephew Michael Cunningham and his wife Nancy of York. She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Cunningham and one infant brother.
