York—Nancy I. (Gibbs) Lynn, 70, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Manor Care Health Services – North. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:30 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Church of the Open Door in the Youth Center, 8 Carlisle Court, York. A visitation will be held from 1-4 PM, Saturday, also in the Youth Center at the Church of the Open Door. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born May 24, 1942 in York, she was a daughter of the late Eugene C. and Mildred I. (Shermeyer) Gibbs. She was employed as a weaver for 24 years with Blue Bird Silk Mill and later Orinoka Silk Mill. Mrs. Lynn is survived by one son, Jeffrey A. Gibbs of York; one daughter, Alicia A. Gibbs of York; two granddaughters, Sheena Gibbs and Holly (Lehr) Schmuck; 6 great grandchildren; one brother, Larry Gibbs of Great Falls, MT; one sister, Doris Beitzel of York and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Gibbs. In lieu of flowers anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Mrs. Lynn may do so by giving them to Mr. Jeffrey Gibbs at the time of service.
