Mildred R. Beard

HANOVER- Mildred R. (Miller) Beard, 87, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg. She was the wife of the late Clifford R. Beard. Mrs. Beard was born in Brodbecks on January 30, 1932, the daughter of the late Charles and Erma (Buchar) Miller. She retired from BMY. Mrs. Beard was a member of Windy Hill Senior Center and the BMY Retirees Club. She leaves two sons, Barry Beard of York and Gary Beard of Clearfield; two daughters, Karen Stambaugh of New Oxford and Debra Beard of Newberrytown; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melva Neesmith; a brother, Merle Miller; and five sisters, Grace, Ruth, Leona, Edna, and Doris. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331 Services and interment at Marburg Memorial Gardens in Hanover will be private.
