Michael L. Tran

Michael L. Tran, 74, of York, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026 at his residence. He was the husband of Melissa P. (Nguyen) Tran with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage.

A Celebration of Life Tribute will be held from 6 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. Urn placement will take place at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc.

Mr. Tran was born on October 20, 1951, in Long An, Vietnam a son of the late Khiem and Lang (Bui) Tran. After graduating from high school in Vietnam, Michael moved to the United States, where he began a long and dedicated career with New York Wire Works in York. He worked for the company for 43 years, ultimately serving as plant manager before retiring in 2019.

In his free time, Michael enjoyed fishing, vacationing in Ocean City, and traveling to Vietnam. He also had a love for cars and cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Tran is survived by two sons, John D. and wife Hieu Tran of Dover, and Mark L. and wife Laura Tran of Hershey; and four grandchildren.
