Michael D. Jerrard

DOVER – Michael D. Jerrard, 90, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Aumiller) Jerrard to whom he was married for 30 years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 15, 2026, located at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 140 N. Beaver St, York, PA 17401 with Father Eric Hillegas officiating. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 5, 1935, in London, England, Mr. Jerrard was the son of the late Charles John Jerrard and Mabel Norah (Boxall). After graduating from high school, he proudly served in the Royal Navy. In his adult years, Michael met his beloved wife, after which he relocated to the United States, first settling in Baltimore, Maryland, and then in York.

Michael spent most of his professional life working as an accountant at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, from which he eventually retired. In his free time, he was an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in York, where he previously sang in the choir. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted golden retriever lover and for his punctual nature—always arriving early, no matter the occasion.

Surviving are his four sons, David A. Jerrard, MD of Hunt Valley, MD, Timothy J. Jerrard of Dover, Nicholas J. Jerrard, MD of San Francisco, CA, and Peter A. Jerrard of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Jerrard of England. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife and his parents.
