Michael E. Stout, Sr

LEWISBERRY—Michael E. Stout, Sr., 73, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle-Harrisburg. A Celebration of Life Tribute will be held from 11am-1pm, Monday, August 26, 2019 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street, Lewisberry. Burial will be held in Tri-County Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born May 15, 1946 in Clarksburg, WVa, he was a son of the late Ernest and Irma L. (Ogden) Stout. He was employed as a fork lift mechanic by the United States Department of the Defense for several years until his retirement in 2010. A United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, he enjoyed fishing and was also an avid automobile enthusiast. He loved working on, building and restoring any type of car or truck, especially hot rods. Mr. Stout is survived by three children, Nichol M. Stout, Michael E. Stout, Jr., and wife, Karly and Stephanie L. Shaffer and husband, Chuck; nine grandchildren, Taylor, Skylar, Kelly, Ivy, Opal, Laurel, Dylan, Corbin and Kamden; two great grandchildren, Harper and Adrian; three sisters, Mary Stout, Sherri “Diddy” Stout and Kathy Stout-Marsiglia and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Patrick Stout.
