Michael D. Jacobus

YORK- Michael D. Jacobus, 63, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at his residence. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on September 14, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. Michael was born in Weisbaden, Germany on October 14, 1954, the son of Edwin R. Jacobus of York and the late Shirley Ann (Reich) Jacobus. He retired from Gichner Shelter Systems in Red Lion and prior to that worked for General Dynamics. Michael was an avid hunter and member of Rossville Hunting Club in Potter County. Michael leaves two brothers, Russell Jacobus and his wife Donna of Chapin, SC, and Richard Jacobus of York; two sisters, Kathy Vasilas and her husband Ronald of Ellicott City, MD and Lori Cunningham and her husband Jesse of Abingdon, MD; as well as two nephews and three nieces.
