Michael A. Hengst

YORK – Michael A. Hengst, 63, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at his home. Born November 29, 1950 in York a son of the late David and Anna Mae (Gierse) Hengst, he was a graduate of Eastern York High School and Penn State University. He had previously worked at Kunzler Meats and in his youth attended Zion U.M. Church in East Prospect. Michael enjoyed taking care of his elderly relatives, riding bikes, collecting vinyl records, and learning and working with new technology. Mr. Hengst is survived by a sister in law, Elaine B. Hengst; nephew, Eric and wife Nikki Hengst; and a niece, Alicia and husband Evan Hunt. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Hengst. Funeral services and burial will be private.
