Merle S. Cohen

YORK- Merle S. Cohen, 64, passed away Friday,. October 23, 2015, at Colonial Manor. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Prospect Hill Cemetery, with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. Born June 2, 1951 in Bridgeton, New Jersey, Merle was a daughter of Shirley S. (Skloff) Shapiro of Culver City, CA and the late Harvey A. Cohen. Ms. Cohen is survived by a son, Dr. John J. Murphy of Santa Barbara, CA; a daughter, Sara Blackburn of Haddonfield, NJ; tow grandchildren, William and Ryan; and a sister, Leslie Jeffrey of Cleveland, OH. In addition to her father, Merle was preceded in death by a son, Ira Benjamin Murphy.
