Maurice E. Ward

Red Lion—Maurice E. Ward, 92, entered into rest, Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at Dallastown Nursing Center. He was the loving husband of D. Elaine (Warner) Ward to whom he was married for 24 years. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with the Rev. Dr. Eddie D.D. Miller, AseraCare Hospice Chaplain officiating. Burial will be held in Red Lion Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral chapel. Mr. Ward was born July 20, 1914 in Brockton, Mass., a son of the late Edger and Maude Ward. He was co-owner and managed New Era Die Company in Red Lion for 41 years, until his retirement. A life member of Red Lion Elks, he also served on the Red Lion Borough Council. In addition to his wife, Mr. Ward is also survived by two sons, Larry Ward and Gerald Ward, three grandchildren, Mark, Chad and Andrew Ward, three great-grandchildren, Jessica, Bryce and Matthew Ward. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Ronald Ward and also Maria and Helen Ward.
