Mary T. (Seitz) Hartzell

RED LION — Mary T. (Seitz) Hartzell, 88, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at her residence. She was the loving wife of the late Stanley A. Hartzell, Jr., to whom she was married for 56 years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Rev. Kristine Hileman officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cross Roads Cemetery in Felton.

Born March 20, 1937, in York, she was the daughter of the late Samuel R. and Ethel M. (Wolf) Seitz. Mary was a 1955 graduate of Kennard-Dale High School. For much of her working life, she was employed as a bank teller at Southern Pennsylvania National Bank in Stewartstown, where she worked for more than 15 years before later starting her own cleaning business.

Mary was a proud member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing the piano for church services and volunteering her time for church events.

Surviving is her son, Gregory A. Hartzell and his wife, Kathy, of Wrightsville; two grandchildren, Timothy J. Hartzell of Harrisburg and Lisa A. Hartzell of York; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her five brothers.
