Mary Rosella Bankert

FAWN GROVE- Mary Rosella (Richardson) Bankert, 75, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Yorkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York. She was the wife of Arthur E. “Butch” Bankert. The couple celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on December 23, 2021.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Certified Celebrant Debe Snyder will be officiating at the service.

Mrs. Bankert was born on July 22, 1947, the daughter of the late John G. and Stella S. (Richardson) Richardson. She was a member of Citizen Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in Fawn Grove.

Along with her husband Butch, Mrs. Bankert leaves a son, Charles Edward “Chuck” Bankert and his wife Kimberly of New Park; two granddaughters, Ashley Bankert and Hailey Hopkins and her husband Tim; three brothers, James, Larry, and David Richardson; two sisters, Annabelle Nickles and Patricia Hicks; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Priscilla Fletcher.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Greater PA Chapter 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
