Mary L. (Tedesco) Hart

YORK – Mary L. (Tedesco) Hart, 92, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 at Rest Haven – York. She was the wife of the late Richard R. Hart, Sr. to whom she was married for almost 60 years before his passing in 2014.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 12:00 PM in the chapel at Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Road, New Kensington, PA 15068. Entombment will follow.

Born August 8, 1931 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Carmen and Lucy Marie (Caputo) Tedesco. After her mother’s passing, she was raised by her late step-mother, Angelina (Restivo) Tedesco. For most of Mary’s working life, she was a personnel assistant in the healthcare field, later retiring in 1996. Outside of work, she enjoyed pottery, bowling, coloring, word searches, gardening, playing Bingo and especially enjoyed crocheting. She is remembered as being a neat-freak and liked to clean for others. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her four children, Richard R. Hart, Jr. and his wife Denise of York, Ronald F. Hart and his wife Maribeth of Cheswick, Randal R. Hart and his wife Amy of Allenwood and Deborah J. Cardamone; two grandchildren, Brittany M. Hamilton and Kaylynn R. Hart; three great-grandchildren, Julian Cardamone, Hailey Hamilton and Zoe Hamilton; a brother, Bobby Tedesco; four sisters Delores Paradise, Carmie Toothman, Antionette Bell and Rose Seriani-Ridgely. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Marla Cardamone, two brothers, Carmen “Ted” Tedesco, Jr., Thomas Tedesco; a sister, Frances Battaglia; and a son in law, Thomas Cardamone.
