Mary Jane (Ellis) Grove

FELTON- Mary Jane E. (Ellis) Grove, 79, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at her home. She was the loving wife of Michael E. Grove, to whom she was married for 40 years.

Born April 6, 1946 in York, she was the daughter of the late Dallas and Wilma (Dunnick) Ellis. Jane was a graduate of York Suburban High School and then studied nursing and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She then went on to work for her father’s automotive business in York, where she met Michael, and then later worked at Jerry's Great Valu. Jane retired from The Landscape Company & Nursery, where she worked for over 30 years. Throughout the years, Jane enjoyed vacations to the beach, Tennessee, and Niagara Falls with her husband and daughter. The family also enjoyed taking day trips to many places, including Gettysburg, and going to concerts and theater performances. Jane also enjoyed bus trips, and she and her daughter traveled to New York City, Virginia, and nearly all of New England. Her hobbies included gardening, coloring, and spending time with her cats.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter; Melissa Grove and good friends Susie Kauffman and Jeanie Strayer.
