Mary E. (Shettel) Conley

SPRING GARDEN TOWNSHIP- Mary E. (Shettel) Conley, 81, of York, died Saturday, January 10, 2009 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Melvin E. Conley. Services will be held privately. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Conley was born in Cleveland, OH on May 10, 1927, a daughter of the late Edward and Evelyn (Bergstresser) Shettel. She retired from the York County Sheriff's Department. Mrs. Conley attended William Penn Sr. High School and was a member of Red Lion American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Conley leaves a daughter, Susan M. Frey of York; a grandson, Randy; two great grandchildren, Sybrina and Dylan; and a great, great grandson, Xavier.
