RED LION—Mary E. (Raver) Klunk, 81, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at her residence in Red Lion Borough. She was the devoted partner of David L. Klunk to whom she was married for 62 years.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00PM, Thursday January 5, 2023 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be her pastor, Fr. Mark Weiss. A visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Born February 6, 1941 in Red Lion, she was the daughter of the late Walter Raver Sr., and Hazel (Little) Raver.
Mary and David started Imagineered Signs and she was a dedicated office manager until her retirement. Family was the most important thing to Mary. She dearly loved having family dinners on Sundays. Attending her grandchildren’s sporting events was a passion as well.
A member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Dallastown, she was also two-time President of the Red Lion Jaycetts, an official passenger for the Hot Rod Power Tours, past member of York Antique Car Club, past Treasurer of Red Lion High School-Class of 1959 and unofficial score keeper for all six grandchildren’s sporting events.
In addition to her husband, Mary is also survived by one daughter, Trinda S. Gulley of Red Lion; one son, Tod A. Klunk and wife, Tara of Felton; six grandchildren, Sarah Evans and husband, Nick, Samantha Nduura and husband, James, Timothy Gulley and wife, Michelle, Marley Bonilla and husband, Xavier, Morgan Klunk and her fiancé, Matt and Alleney Klunk; six great grandchildren, Zeke, Ava, Ace, Zeus, Savannah and Raiden and one brother, Walton Raver Jr. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Timothy J. Gulley.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 251 E. Main Street, Dallastown, Pa 17313.
