ALLENWOOD - Mary A. (King ) Staggert, 82, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Evangelical Hospital. She was the wife of the late Miles E. Staggert, Sr. Mrs. Staggert was born in Alvira on December 5, 1924, a daughter of the late Edmond and Florence (Robinson) King. She was employed several years ago with Montgomery Mills but became a housewife after her sons was born. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, but mostly with her dogs, Buster and Lucy. Mrs. Staggert loved to hunt, fish, and trap. Her favorite pastimes included, sewing, reading, doing puzzle books, and riding around in her golf cart. Mrs. Staggert is survived by a son, Miles E. and his wife Regina (Young) Staggert, Jr. of Allenwood; a daughter, Florence (Warner) and the late Merl Campbell; 6 grandchildren, Mary, Miles III, Brandie, Sonja, Shannondoah, and Jeanette; 2 great grandchildren, Alexis and Miles IV; two brothers, Marvin "Dick" King of New Columbia and Harold "Pudge" King of Allenwood; two sisters, Esther "Dutch" Bower of Montgomery and Hannah "Tiny" Buck of Allenwood; and many numerous nieces and nephews. She s preceded by twin sons; a granddaughter, Jerry Lee; 4 brothers," Pete", "Bunk", "Gene", and "Mutt"; and a sister, "Kit". A funeral service will be held 11am Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton. Calling hours are 6- 8:00pm on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
