Mary A. (Helfrich) Shoffner

YORK – Mary A. (Helfrich) Shoffner, 75, passed away on September 13, 2022 at Seaton at Springwood. She was the loving wife of the late Donald L. Shoffner.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with Certified Celebrant Debe Snyder officiating. Prior to the service, there will be a viewing from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Born March 14, 1947 in York, Mrs. Shoffner was a daughter to the late Ernie and Mildred (Swartz) Helfrich. Mrs. Shoffner was very family oriented, and loved spending as much time as she could with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music and dancing, and taking trips to Florida to see dolphins.

Mrs. Shoffner leaves behind four children, Patricia Myers, Lisa Shoffner, Donald Shoffner, Jr., and Thomas Shoffner; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and three brothers, Richard Helfrich, Ernest Helfrich, and Ronnie Helfrich. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Shoffner is preceded in death by a brother, Francis “Butch” Helfrich; her step-mother, Viola “Butch” Helfrich; and her grandfather, Mervin Schwarts.
