YORK- Marlin B. Brenneman, 79, of York Township, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy. He was the husband of Ruth A. (Fauth) Brenneman. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on March 17, 2025.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Codorus Church, 1129 Dunkard Valley Rd., in Dallastown, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. Pastor Eric Ritenour will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Mr. Brenneman was born in York on March 18, 1946, the son of the late Fred and Mary (Bowman) Brenneman. He retired from Tooling Dynamics in 2011. He was a Tool and Die Maker for over 40 years. Mr. Brenneman was a member of Codorus Church. He was a 1964 graduate of Dallastown High School. He went to night school at York High, where he learned his trade as a Tool and Die Maker. He was an avid hunter and especially enjoyed hunting in Clinton County. He enjoyed watching Nascar, spending time with family, and going for drives in his 2007 Dodge Charger.
Mr. Brenneman leaves three daughters, Leslie A. McAndrew and husband Timothy of Seven Valleys, Vicki L. Krout and husband Michael of York, and Sara M. Snell and husband Steven, Jr. of Spring Grove; three grandchildren, Lauren Colbert and husband Trevon of Hanover, Ashley Snell and boyfriend Ryan Beaver of Spring Grove, and Brandon Krout of York; and a great grandchild on the way; a brother, Jan Brenneman of Arizona; and five sisters, Judy Hoskin of York, Frennie Daugherty of Red Lion, Shelba Spangler of York, Louise Bubb of Glen Rock, Cheryl Stevens of Maryland. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Earl Brenneman.
