Marilyn Sue (Seeley) Hamberger

YORK - Marilyn Sue (Seeley) Hamberger, 68, died Monday, June 16, 2008 at York Hospital. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Marilyn was born June 18, 1939 in Camden, NJ, a daughter of the late Raber and Thurley (Hicks) Seeley. She was a graduate of Temple University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Education, and continued on to obtain a Master's Degree in Special Education from Western Maryland College. Marilyn was formerly employed by the Lincoln Intermediate Unit #12 and was most recently employed by the Foster Grandparent Program as an aide at Devers Elementary School. Marilyn is survived by one son; Shawn Hamberger of York, two daughters; Laura and husband Paul Bobeczko of Arlington, VA, and Suzanne and husband Bill Burger of Mount Joy; and four grandchildren; Alexander, Zachary, Sarah and Kyle. She is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Seeley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 140 Roosevelt Ave, Suite 208, York, PA 17401.
