Marie D. (Washer) Lehigh

EAST BERLIN- Marie D. (Washer) Lehigh, 92, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Monday, May 1, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of 70 years to the late David L. Lehigh. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 5, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with her pastor, The Rev. Dr. Margaret Wise officiating. A viewing will be from 10-11:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born February 28, 1925 in York a daughter of the late William and Edith (Ness) Washer, she was a 1943 graduate of Dover Area High School. Marie was a member of Zwingli U.C.C., enjoyed sewing and needlepoint, and loved to cook for her family. Mrs. Lehigh leaves behind a family who loved her very much; a daughter, Anita Mitchell and husband Rick of East Berlin; granddaughter, Natalie McLean and husband John; and two great grandsons, Tyler Smith and Jacob McLean.
