Marian Lorraine (Pommerank) Baer

Marian Lorraine (Pommerank) Baer, 77, of Red Lion, PA, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, at UPMC Memorial Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia on June 20, 1947, Marian led a life marked by love, dedication, and a strong sense of community. She was the heart and soul of our family. Her love, wisdom, and kindness touched everyone she met, and her legacy will live on through the cherished memories of the countless lives she touched. She will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Marian was a proud graduate of York High School, and her professional journey included roles as a JCPenney Catalog Manager and a night auditor at the Red Roof Inn. However, it was her deep involvement in her church and family that truly defined her life. After retiring early to care for her first grandson, Marian devoted herself fully to the people she loved. A dedicated member of Living Word Community Church, Marian found joy and fulfillment in actively participating in and leading small groups. One of her most cherished roles was leading the "Mom to Mom" group, a mission that touched the hearts of many young mothers in the community. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she treasured the connections she made with fellow church members, offering inspiration, guidance, and unwavering support to those around her.

Outside of her church, Marian was passionate about gardening. Her home was surrounded by a stunning array of flowers, a living testament to her love of nature and the beauty of the simple things in life. Her garden was a special place for family pictures and celebrations, forever etched in the memories of those who visited. Marian was also an avid reader, always with a book in hand, and loved sharing stories — whether from her own life or lessons she had learned from others. Her wisdom was a guiding light, and her ability to offer strength and encouragement was a gift to all who knew her.

Marian’s love for her family was unparalleled. She was the loving mother of two daughters, Cheryl Reisinger and her husband, Steven, and Debbie Fiske and her husband, Tor. Marian took great pride in her role as a grandmother to her four grandchildren: Adam, Traejan, Skylar, and Jaxon. The bonds of family were incredibly important to Marian, and her warm spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Marian is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Leroy Baer, and her cherished granddaughter, Taeya.
