Margaret M. Runkle

RED LION – Margaret M. (Olewiler) Runkle, 85, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jesse D. Runkle and the late Dallas P. Kinard. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Pastor Tim Funk officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Wednesday and 9-10:00 AM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery. Born January 6, 1931 in Craley, a daughter of the late Charles M. and Lucy Mae (Dellinger) Olewiler, she had worked in a sewing factory in Hellam as a young adult and then spent many years as a driver for Red Lion Bus Co. Margaret was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. Runkle is survived by a son, Robert E. and wife Daune Runkle of Red Lion; two daughters, Donna M. and husband Louie Blymire of East Prospect and Anita M. and husband David Smeltzer of Windsor; a stepdaughter, Janet D. and husband Darryl Smuck of Red Lion; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by a stepson, James D. Runkle; and a brother, Howard Olewiler.
