Margaret "Lynn" Smith

Seven Valleys--Margaret “Lynn” (Wayne) Smith, 75, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Richard L. Smith to whom she was married for 55 years.

Please join the family of Margaret "Lynn" Smith at the Jacobus Fire Hall (Goodwill Fire Company #1) 1 South Main Street, Jacobus, Pa 17407 between 2:00PM & 6:00PM on Friday, July 14, 2023 to celebrate the life she lived with those she loved.

Born December 5, 1947 in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul A. and Margaret G. (Cheek) Wayne.

She was employed as a medical secretary with Wellspan for over 25 years until her retirement.

A long-time member of Christ Church—Jacobus, she also enjoyed crafting, cross stitch and scrapbooking. She was an avid reader and liked working on crossword puzzles.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith is also survived by two daughters, Teresa New and her husband, Ken of Newnan, GA and Tammy Ream and her husband, Bryan of Seven Valleys; five grandchildren, Adam and his wife, Jen, Justin and his wife, Becky, Myranda, Brandyn and Tybet; five great grandchildren, Lily, Zoey, Mackenzie, Riley and Mason; one brother, Gary Wayne; two sisters, Deborah Kopera and Pamela Breedlove and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church—Jacobus, 200 North Main Street, Jacobus, Pa 17407.
