YORK- Lohr Roger Sizer, 77, died on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. He was the husband of Char-Ann (Ball) Sizer. The couple celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on January 31st.
Services for Mr. Sizer will be private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.
Born on July 6, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI, he was the son of the late Roger Elmer and Shirley Jane (Lohr) Sizer. Lohr worked at Harley Davidson, as a director of an Air Force publication facility, and most recently retired to “catch the big one” in northern Wisconsin.
Mr. Sizer served our country in the United States Air Force for over three years during the Vietnam War. He loved fishing and was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan.
Along with his wife, Char-Ann, Lohr is survived by two sons, David Sizer and his wife, Dawn of Boiling Springs and Daniel Sizer and his wife, Karen of York; four grandchildren, Connor Douglas Sizer, Logan Michael Sizer, Elliot Daniel Sizer and Isaac Lohr Sizer; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gayle Bruschnig.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Rest Haven Nursing Home for all of their special care to Lohr over the last few months.
