Linda L. Ross

Linda L. (Ruppert) Ross, 84, of Dover, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025 at York Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Clyde W. Ross, with whom she had shared 61 years of marriage.

Mrs. Ross was born on July 11, 1940 in Warrington Twp., York Co.; a daughter of the late Christianna (Nell) and Mearl N. Ruppert, Sr. Linda was a 1958 graduate of Dover Area High School. Linda was a loving mother and grandmother. As a young adult, she worked at Nellie’s Restaurant in Dover. Her passions in life were caring for her family, cooking, baking, and getting lost in a good book. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Ross is survived by two sons, Bryan S. and wife Barbara Ross and Keith M. and wife Michelle Ross both of York; three daughters, Kathy M. and husband Dean Kohr of Manchester, Karen B. McQuait of York, and Lisa K. and husband Mark Wozniak of Bel Air, MD; nine grandchildren, Nicholas McQuait, Kaitlyn Kohr, Zachary Kohr, Courtney and husband Adam Sentz, Allison Ross, Kristopher Ross, Evan Wozniak, Christiana Wozniak, and Grayson Wozniak; two brothers, Russell Ruppert and Mearl Ruppert, Jr. both of Dover; a sister, JoAnn Ruppert of Dover; and a half-sister, Roxie Snell of York.

Tribute services are private with burial in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.
