Lena L. (Schmuck) Strayer

FELTON - Lena L. (Schmuck) Strayer, 90, passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 at Shrewsbury Lutheran Home Barbara J. Egan Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Michael G. Strayer. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday September 26, 2008 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Pastor Robert R. Jacobs officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Zion U.M. Cemetery. Born August 13, 1918 in Felton a daughter of the late Ervin E. and Annie E. (Smuck) Schmuck, she had been a seamstress at various sewing factories in the Red Lion area. She was a lifelong member and Sunday school teacher at Bethany United Methodist Church in Felton. Mrs. Strayer is survived by a brother, Lester Schmuck of Felton; a sister, Margaret Cook of Felton; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany U.M.
