Lawrence E. Disbrow, 76, of Red Lion, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Lonna E. (Kretz) Disbrow with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage on September 8, 2025.

Mr. Disbrow was born on October 19, 1948 in Delta, a son of the late Emerson and Mildred (Butler) Disbrow. Following high school, he served in the US Army during The Vietnam War until his honorable discharge in 1970. Being born and raised in Delta, Lawrence and his brothers had been active members of the Delta Cardiff Volunteer Fire Dept. and spent many hours in and around the fire company. Mr. Disbrow’s career took him from Caterpillar Inc. to Flinchbaugh Products, and then he worked many years at New Cumberland Army Depot until his retirement in 1991. Lawrence was a member of Dallastown American Legion Post 605 and Victory Athletic Association. His family meant everything to him and he never missed out on an opportunity to vacation or go fishing with them in Hilton Head, SC. Recently, Lawrence lost his beloved Yorkiepoo, “Laci”, who he and Lonna shared 17 years as a faithful companion.

In addition to his wife Lonna, Mr. Disbrow is survived by three daughters, Denise L. and husband Tim Jones of Port Richey, FL, Jackie A. and husband Steve Bareuther of Lancaster, and Michelle M. Godfrey of Red Lion; five grandchildren, Amanda P. and husband Steve Brightbill, Erica L. Bareuther, Dylan M. Godfrey, Skyler M. Godfrey, and Jayla B. Godfrey and her fiancé Johnny Shipley; two great grandchildren, Vivienne P. and Daxton R. Brightbill; three brothers, John Disbrow of Robertsdale, PA, Paul Disbrow of Livermore, CA, and Victor Disbrow of Aberdeen, MD; and a sister, Barbara Baker of Aberdeen, MD. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and David Disbrow; and a sister, Louise Long.

Tribute services will be held privately with burial in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be presented by Dallastown American Legion Post 605 Honor Guard. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.
