Laura E. Keesey

Laura E. (Shank) Keesey, 94, of Windsor, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 at her home. She was the wife of the late Donald W. Keesey.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 12, 2025 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Allison Duke officiating. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery.

Mrs. Keesey was born on April 24, 1931 in York, a daughter of the late Harry and Laura L. (Leiter) Shank. Laura had worked for 25 years at House of Windsor Cigar Co., later working at Bower Shoe Store, and then retired from New Way Dry Cleaning. She was a great cook and loved baking pies. Mrs. Keesey spent hours playing Rummy 500 and Bingo with her close friends Norma Smith and Violet Runkle and especially cherished her family Bingo nights with her children and grandchildren. When she did sit down and relax, Laura could be found watching reruns of The Danny Thomas Show on the internet.

Mrs. Keesey is survived by five daughters, Nancy and husband Larry Flinchbaugh of Craley, Linda and husband Wayne Shenberger of Red Lion, Brenda Snyder of Windsor, Karen Denton of Windsor, and Sherry and husband Wasley Grafton of Windsor; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great, great great, and great great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard E. Keesey; her twin sister, Barbara J. Shank; and four additional sisters, Elizabeth Wright, Mary Dennis, Edna Billet, and Dottie Edgar; and two sons-in-law, Gregory Snyder and Michael Denton.
