Born on December 1, 1954, in Cambodia, he was the cherished son of the late Thuc Van Nguyen and Thuoc Thi Nguyen.
Khoi lived life to the absolute fullest and poured his heart into everything he did. For over 30 years, he brought his talent and hard work to Motor Technology in York, PA, working as a skilled motor winder until his retirement in 2012. Together with his wife in 1996, he also proudly built, owned, and operated the restaurant Viet Thai until 2013—a legacy that lives on today through his children.
Khoi truly embraced the beauty and fun of life. Music was one of his greatest passions; he loved strumming his guitar and singing, especially when lifting his voice in church. An outdoorsman at heart, he found peace and joy in nature, whether he was out fishing or wandering along quiet streams and creeks. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, always passionately cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. His adventurous spirit was evident from his youth, where he always welcomed a challenge—whether playing soccer, training in martial arts, or racing road bikes. Khoi was also a true tech enthusiast, always excited to try out the latest gadgets and innovations.
Above all, Khoi was a fun-loving, magnetic soul who thrived in the company of his family and friends. He never turned down a good party, a vibrant celebration, or a chance to take the microphone for karaoke. His bright energy, adventurous spirit, and the pure joy he brought into every room will be deeply missed but forever celebrated by all who knew him.
In addition to his devoted wife, Khoi’s legacy lives on through his four children: Oanh Priole and her husband, John; Christopher Nguyen and his wife, Katharine; Francis Nguyen and his wife, Katie; and Jennifer DiMarcello and her husband, Joseph. He was the incredibly proud grandfather of ten grandchildren: Nicholas and Dylan Nuyen; Samantha Meek and her husband, Nicholas; Isabella, Sofia, and Samuel Nguyen; Christian and Preston Nguyen; and Lilyana and Eliana DiMarcello. He is also survived by four sisters: Ai Lien Nguyen Bui, Ngoc Tuyet Ngondara, Chau Long Luong, and Sister Anna Nguyen, SCC. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ninh Van Nguyen and Khang Van Nguyen, and one sister, Ngoc Lan Nguyen.
