Kenneth H. Hopkins, Jr., 79, affectionately known as Hoppy, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in York, Pennsylvania after a lengthy illness. He was formerly of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

He retired from CSX just a few months shy of 40 years. He was very well liked and was thrown a wonderful retirement party by his coworkers.
In retirement, Hoppy lived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina which was his favorite place in the world. He loved the warm weather and taking long walks. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. He always reminded them of the importance of getting an education and was incredibly proud when they all graduated from college.

Three beloved grandchildren, Aeryn (Manuel) Robles of York, Noah McClain of Red Lion, and Luke Lightner of Yuma, Arizona.
