Kathy D. Shaffer

DOVER - Kathy D. (Anderson) Shaffer, 65, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024 at her home. She was the wife of the late Bruce E. Shaffer, Jr.

Born April 3,1959 in York, a daughter of the late Stuart and Marian (Macaulay) Anderson, she was a 1977 graduate of Red Lion Area High School. Mrs. Shaffer had retired from CrossCounty Mortgage Company. Mrs. Shaffer was a member of Shiloh American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and grew up at Grace Lutheran Church in Red Lion. Kathy enjoyed needlepoint, gardening, working in her yard, and most importantly spending time with her grandson.

Mrs. Shaffer is survived by her daughter, Samantha D. Shaffer and her boyfriend, Brandon Wright of Dover; her grandson, Donovan Pifer; a brother-in-law, Paul Holland of Red Lion; and a nephew, Edward Holland of Denver, CO. She was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Holland.

Tribute services will be private with burial in Red Lion Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.
