Kathleen A. (Sanders) Orozco

YORK – Kathleen A. (Sanders) Orozco, 79, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She was the loving wife of Gilbert J. Orozco. All Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. in York is in charge of arrangements. Born October 16, 1942 in Burlington, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Howard Sanders and Nellie R. (Lange) Montgomery. After graduating from high school, Mrs. Orozco went on and received a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Working as an RN, she worked many places including York Hospital, York Hospice, and health worker for York City. Working later at Planned Parenthood and then retiring from Apple Hill Gynecology as a Nurse Practitioner, Gyn. Mrs. Orozco will always be remembered for her caring heart, and willingness to care for those in need. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Orozco leaves behind a son, Scott Bohlen (Amy); two step-daughters Patricia Chenenko (Ricky), and Dona Walters (Brad); seven grandchildren, Mark, Blake, Lauren, Brian, Tricia, and Jason; four great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Montgomery (Jenifer); and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Orozco is preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Grim; a grandson, Mike Bohlen; and a sister, Marsha Hunter. CLICK HERE TO SEND FLOWERS
