Joseph W. Cook

Joseph W. Cook, 83, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Rest Haven Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m.Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. A viewing will be held from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery. Mr. Cook was born October 28, 1927 in York, a son of the late Charles S. and Maud F. (Geisleman) Cook. Mr. Cook is survived by a twin sister, L. Frances Burns of W. York; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Author C., Robert J. and Charles J. Cook.
