Joseph Paul Reap

EXETER-Joseph Paul Reap, 90, formerly of Pittston, and a resident of Highland Manor, Exeter, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Avoca on November 9, 1922, he was a son of the late Michael and Lucille Reap. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. Prior to retiring in 1989, Joseph was employed by the Pittston Area School District as a custodian. He was an avid L.A. Dodger, Notre Dame and Pittsburg Steelers fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Madeline Hoover, who passed away in 2001 and 2 brothers. Surviving are his sons, Michael Reap of West Wyoming; Paul Reap of Wilkes-Barre; daughters Shirley Warbock of West Wyoming; Lucille Williams of Wilkes-Barre; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Private services have been entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main St., Avoca.
