Joseph R. Mulé

Joseph R. Mulé, 80, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn J. (Niemczyk) Mulé, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.

Born on October 30, 1945, in Astoria, New York, Joseph was the son of the late Phillip and Josephine (Miliano) Mulé. A graduate of St. John’s University School of Law, he spent many years as a self-employed family attorney serving individuals and families throughout New York.

Joe was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who took great pride in his family. Known for his attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility, he was deeply committed to the people he loved and the life he built with them.

Along with his wife, Carolyn, Joseph is survived by two sons, Joseph Mulay and his wife, Alicia Mioli, of Hoboken, New Jersey, and Christopher Mulé and his wife, Anna, of Brooklyn, New York; two grandsons, Hudson Mulé and Jasper Mulé; and his brother, Robert Mulé and his wife, Lisa, of Simsbury, Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Mulé.

A private celebration of life tribute will be held at O.B. Davis Funeral Home in Port Jefferson, New York.
