WILKES-BARRE - Joseph J. "Uncle Joe" Macri, 76, of Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Hospice of the VNA, Heritage House, in Wilkes-Barre. He was born on April 15, 1933, in Wilkes-Barre, son of the late John and Giuseppina (Travato) Macri. Joe was a graduate of GAR High School. After retiring from Economy Lumber and the construction industry, he worked with his cousin, Nicholas Gallamo, at Nicholas Plumbing. He was always willing to help anyone with a project and was a skilled craftsman. Joe was a member of the Holy Rosary Church, Wilkes-Barre. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Moseley. Uncle Joe is survived by his brother-in-law, Jack Moseley, nieces, Lisa Davis and husband Joe, Tracey McMillen and husband, David, Tammy Moseley, great nephews, D.J. McMillen, Matthew Davis, Ben Davis, and Nick Davis; and several cousins. The funeral will be Saturday at 8:30 at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc. 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in Holy Rosary Church, 363 Park Ave, Wilkes-Barre. Monsignor Joseph P. Kelly will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Friday evening from 5-8 pm and Saturday morning from 7:30-8:30 am at the funeral home.
